PCM developed solutions to prevent ALS system failures for a customer in West Africa
One of our customers in West Africa was facing premature ALS system failures after few months only of operation due to a very high content of CO2, source of severe corrosion on the downhole completion.
We developed with him a special pump design with stainless steel inserts protecting the pump body against corrosive production fluid.
After successful test this solution was standardized on the whole oilfield and the pump is not anymore a cause of early failure.
We are now working on developing new corrosion resistant solutions on tubing & rod string (anodes, specific coatings…) in order to increase the performance of the full system.
